The new Batteau “Columbia Drifter” was recently flipped over. Alex Shaw (Andrew Shaw’s Brother from the Batteau “Debbie”) is the contact person. There are ten people total involved in the building/navigating of the vessel. The crew consists of Roy Turner(of the former Manteo batteau), Barry Crickenberger(of the former Buccaneer batteau), Mitch Crickenberger, Josh Craft, Shaun Saunders, Brian Staton, Jack Buni, Woody Dunkum, Ronnie Craft, and Randy Waycaster. At this time the boat is nearly complete, and is sunken at Roy Turner’s pond. [...] #gallery-1 { I visited with the crew of the batteau “Miss Debbie” tonight and got a few pictures. A hearty “THANKS” to everyone who showed up last weekend. For months I have been losing sleep wondering if we would have enough people to flip the boat. As things turned out, I think there were about 10 people standing around when the [...] Whooo! The Lord Chesterfield’s trailer passed inspection! You Might Be a Batteau Person If … the time is near folks. Our crew is excited about getting the boat out of the lake and do some work on it. we will be doing this on may 16 from lunchtime on into the night. we will be cokin out and havin a good time.can’t wait to see you all on [...] |
